Things to do besides social media

Social media either Facebook, Instagram, pintrest, Tik Tok whatever it is that has you glued to your screen scrolling for hours on end. Do you catch yourself losing track of time?

We can waist hours a day scrolling through social media and most the time you don't even know the people...




I think social media has absolutely destroyed our generations ability to be happy. We're always seeing someone else we we think has it better than us and it causes us to think what we have is not good enough.

Social media can be helpful to stay in the loop and see how your friends and family are doing. In reality we don't know our friends and family at all.

People only post what they want everyone to know. If you took the time to call or even text that person, they may give you a whole different side to them.

We are loosing our ability to communicate with others and have personal relationships.

We are waiting time scrolling to avoid our own reality.

As if there is something wrong with our own life...

So... before you jump onto tik tok... again. Try doing something from this list!


Enjoy being in the now:

  • Call or Text a friend or family member.

  • Go for a walk

  • Sit outside

  • Make your favorite treat

  • Do a skin care routine

  • Go on a hike

  • Ask your spousefor a lunch date (even if they are at work)

  • Take yourself on a date

  • Listen to a book or podcast

  • Take a nap

Plan ahead:

  • Fill your calendar

  • Weakly budgets

  • Plan a fun day or week

  • Plan a dream trip

  • Build a workout plan

  • Write down your external goals and your internal goals

  • Book that appointment you keep putting off. (You deserve that massage)

  • Buy birthday gifts

  • Make a grocery list

Self-care

  • Long bath

  • Face/hair mask

  • Shave

  • Meditation

  • Yoga

  • Workout

  • Journal

  • Whiten teeth

  • Exfoliate



Projects:

  • Go through emails

  • Craft

  • Paint/Draw

  • Garden

  • Go for a drive

Clean:

  • Do the dishes

  • Dust

  • Clean toilets

  • Organize 1 space

  • So a load of wash

  • Make the bed

  • Vacuum

  • Sweap and mop

  • Clean 1 room in the house

Try to do 1-2 of these from the list a day BEFORE you even pick up your phone! Change your today!
