Healthy Knee's

Updated: Aug 1

Your knees are a major joint in your body that holds a lot of weight. About 600,000 people in the U.S have knee surgery a YEAR!

When you walk across level ground, the force on your knees is the equivalent of 1½ times your body weight. That means a 200-pound man will put 300 pounds of pressure on his knees with each step. (https://www.health.harvard.edu/pain/why-weight-matters-when-it-comes-to-joint-pain)

How can you take care of your knee's so they may take care of you?

  1. Stay active! Use stairs, ride a bike, walk at least 3K-4K steps a day. If you sit for most your day, make sure you are taking at least 1 hour of good knee movement a day.

  2. Drink water! hydrate your body to rejuvenate your joints, blood flow, and muscles. Water can almost help anything.

  3. Massage your knee's daily! whether you stay still all day or are very active in your day-to-day life, make sure you are rubbing your knees at the end of the day to allow circulation. Ask your massage therapist at your next appointment to take time for your knee's whether that’s the back or front.

  4. Have a healthy body weight! As I straight up top from an article. That your knee's hold 1 1/2 your body weight. Be aware of this when you have knee pain. When you gain or lose weight the smallest amount does a huge difference on your knees.

  5. CBD! I highly recommend using a CBD topical or oral oil. Using icy hot or deep blue are great products to use as a bandage for the time being. CBD is a great product to help before and after a physical activity or a long day. It works with your body for a longer lasting relief.

What is CBD and How Does it Work?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found in the resinous flower of cannabis, a plant with a rich history as a medicine going back thousands of years. More info: (https://musclemx.com/mx-academy/)
